  	Summerside Journal, 1 Feb 1932«i» «/i»Death at Prince County Hospital, Mr. Thomas MacNeil of Summerside age 60. Mr. MacNeil was taken suddenly ill 2 weeks ago and gradually sank until the end came. He was a native of Tryon, son of late John MacNeil of that place. With his father, he learned the blacksmithing and carriage building business and conducted a repair shop and carriage business on Spring Street. He later went to Boston and worked with Henry and Alexander Jamieson now of Summerside. On his return, Mr. MacNeil was employed with Hall Manufacturing Co. Summerside where he worked until about a year ago when ill health forced him to retire. He was of a quiet, retiring disposition, but his many fine characteristics won for him the esteem of a large circle of friends who will regret his passing. There are left to mourn his widow formerly Elvina Curtis, Tryon; 2 sons Elmer and Denzil; 6 daughters Ruby (Mrs. Guy Austin) Charlottetown, Mrs Parker Delaney, Mrs. MacDonald, Mount Tryon, Mrs. John MacKenna, Middleton, Miss Cora and Miss Angie at home; 2 sisters Mrs. Herbert Thomas, North Tryon and Mrs. Albert Mabey, Tryon. Interment in Church of Scotland Cape Traverse.
